Interview Day Information For Applicants
Program Information and Overview for 2022-2023 Interview Season
It is important to us that you learn about our program and are able to make an informed decision about training in Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. All of our interviews will again be conducted virtually this year. You will receive an email about 1 week prior to your interview date with the specific information for your interview day. In order to give you as much information as early as possible, we have provided detailed and updated information on this website. We have also prepared videos and handouts which we hope you will review prior to the interview day. During this process, there will be multiple opportunities to ask questions important to you:
1) Welcome session with the program director
2) Interviews with faculty
3) Presentation and questions with the residents during the interview day
4) Virtual Hangouts/Second Looks
5) Second Look events in person at HFH (tentatively planned)
In the meantime, we hope these pages will help you learn more about our program prior to interviewing, so that we can answer any additional questions you may have during our time together. We can’t wait to meet you and learn more about you! While we are all disappointed that we can’t speak in person, we hope to be able to provide a virtual experience that will help you get to know us on a more personal level and showcase the world class training that leaves our residents #BuiltFordEMTough.
You can access all the videos in one central location here.

Virtual Hangouts and Second Looks
One of the most valuable aspects of our interview process is the opportunity for you to interact and meet our residents. We understand that this has been challenging in a virtual environment. We are hoping to offer in-person second looks events at Henry Ford Hospital this season. These are offered soley for your benefit and there are not any expectations of attendance on our end. We understand you many not be able to attend in-person for a variety of reasons. We will continue to offer virtual options to provide everyone an opportunity to meet our residents and ask them questions important to you. Please only sign up for one of the dates so that we are able to accommodate everyone. If you end up deciding to cancel your interview and need to cancel your in-person or virtual second look, please let us know by email so that we can accomodate others who may also want that date. Please contact us if you are having difficulty scheduling a date that works for you, especially near the end of the interview season. We will make our best efforts to accommodate all interested applicants.
You can click on the dates below to sign up. All virtual hangout sessions will be from 7 EST – 830 EST, with the exception of Saturday 12/11/22 1EST – 230 EST.
We will also have a 2 hour virtual second look at the end of the season that will be open to any applicant and will also have faculty present to answer any further questions. We will have residents only breakout rooms and faculty/mixed breakout rooms.
